Not again! I JUST got IM working with Tommy's help yesterday after about 2 hours. Now I'm getting this:

535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at

It's your gmail password surely. Make sure you activated the two steps connexion and generate the password you will have to use in Incredimail

Colleen, I did what I could... you were very lucky that I was able to find a backup file on one of your external hard drives (Z) that was compatible and not too old! Your uninstallation destroyed absolutely all of IncrediMail, including the "IM" file in the "Users" folder in which all your emails and your inbox subfolders were located.
This is very unusual! A "normal" uninstallation preserves this folder...
As for me, I can no longer be of use to you...and I doubt anyone can return what was lost.

I told you that I just did NOT understand what you were asking for. I did the best I could trying to provide my "Google account". Fortunately I was able to determine how to get another 16 digit passcode. I found this: "RecoverTools Incredimail Migrator" Would that help me to recover missing e-mails. The ones that are missing are from May 1, 2022 through September 23,, 2023, the day I stopped getting e-mails. I have many, many e-mails going up to May 1 2022 and yes, I've been deleting like mad. Thanks and again, I apologize for keeping you up late!

Ok, my English is probably not very good, but I just asked you to log in in front of me on your Google account so that we can generate the application password together... it seemed simple to me. It seems that you have not yet succeeded since IncrediMail refuses to receive your recent emails.
“Recover Tools IncrediMail Migrator” software is of no use to you. It was used to transfer emails from another email software to IncrediMail, and vice versa... I think it is no longer operational, no need to download it.
Please do not apologize for the late hour, it is my sole responsibility and I wanted to help you, unfortunately your old backups were not complete and what is lost will never be recoverable.
Of course, you can call a professional, but I very much doubt that your emails will be recoverable, even with very specialized police software, you risk incurring significant costs without obtaining any results...
I'm sorry, you should have asked us before doing this irreversible action!

Ok, I guess I give up on retrieving old e-mails. The strange thing is that the missing e-mails are from 5/1/22 - 9/23/23. (Maybe you already read that). Why would there be older ones than tha but that year and 1/2 of missing e-mails. 🤔Is there a way to get the Premium like I had before? I had the Christmas theme and I liked it. Anyway, thanks as always. Bon soir!

The emails I was able to recover are the ones that were in the backup file I found...it's not surprising that they are older than the ones you lost.
Search through all the files that are on your many external hard drives, perhaps you will find IncrediMail backup files whose creation dates match what you are looking for.
If you find any, contact me again.
I installed the Premium version for you, so you can install your "Christmas" skin, it's easy to find it in the skins files you have on your computer
If you can't find it, you can download these files from my site (link in my signature--in red--below)

NOT AGAIN! Now sometimes when I try to send/receive I get this error message:

535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at

Then I enter my 16 digit code and it works again. What is happening?! 🤯

Yes, this is the right way, PMs are reserved for the exchange of private elements, Team viewer contact details for example.

For your Google account, try this, even if it may seem useless to you: DELETE your account in IncrediMail, close IncrediMail completely. Reopen it and recreate your Gmail account by entering the 16-letter password imposed by Google.
Then tell us if everything works normally.

I think that now it will work because it is necessary that the FIRST request made with the application password be recognized immediately by Google which is not possible if it is the initial password of the Google account which has first been indicated.
(I know it's difficult to understand, but these are complexities wanted by Google to "force" us to use its webmail.)

Hi Colleen
As you have the IM advert at the bottom, it means that your license situation is not working.
Either the patch was not installed properly or some security feature has taken it out again.
You need to have the patch working properly in order to be able to use skins other than the default.
If you don’t manage to get the patch right, your only hope is to ask Tommy at incredissimo to do it for you.

Colleen, During your last interventions, if I understood correctly, you asked 3 different questions:
1---How can I find my old missing emails?
2---Do I have all the licenses, especially for the Gold Gallery and the Junk Filter?
3---How can I install the skins and notifiers in the downloaded files into IncrediMail?

All the answers to these questions can be found on the forum, but as not all of them are translated, I will try to answer them again.

1--- You have completely destroyed IncrediMail with specialized software which wiped out the "IM" folder and the identities present in "C: / Users". All of these items are irrecoverable. However, when I went to your computer, I found an email backup file that I was able to reintegrate into the IncrediMail that I had just reinstalled. Alas, it did not contain ALL the history that had been deleted... your computer is very busy, maybe you have the missing history somewhere in another file... you are the only one who can find it .

2---ALL licenses, formerly paid, that we now make available to you for free are in the patch, including those of the Gold Gallery and the Junk Filter.
For the Gold Gallery, simply integrate the elements found in the skins, notifiers and animations files. For the Junk filter, there is also an executable to download from my site.

3---To install the many skins, notifiers and other elements present in the files downloadable from my site, you must first DECOMPRESS them: RIGHT click on the file, then "Open with" and choose "Windows Explorer". Then double-click on the folder and when it opens, the small orange envelope synonymous with IncrediMail will appear to the left of the item name. A double click on the one you want to integrate will send it directly to IncrediMail...

Hmm... probably a nasty goblin hidden somewhere in your computer whose only goal is to annoy you! ... :demon:
In the files I gave you, there are so many notifiers that I advise you to try another one. And don't forget, once it's downloaded, to select it, then click "O.K"
...and if you ultimately can't do it, tell me which notifier you want and give me your Team Viewer details, I will install it correctly.
But beware ! One day, no doubt, I will no longer be here!! :ange:

IM wasn't working so I used task manager to close it. Now ALL of the skins are gone and I can't load them from the file Tommy sent me. Help! WHY does this keep happening to me?! I've had a bad day already so it ain't helping! (Also having problems with my other e-mail account! UGH!) 😭😭Thanks.
In addition I'm getting this weird error message: Disk full while accessing C:/Usesrs....etc. UGH!

Windows Defender does this job very well, and for free...like me

Thanks again! Nice to have skin! 😂 I don't know what alternatives you mean. The only ones I know of that we have are AVG and Malwarebytes. My husband is a computer whiz so he'll know if there are any others. But he won't touch IM with a ten foot poll! 🤣 He thinks IT is a virus!

Just kidding... your husband is probably super competent... :wink:
An alternative antivirus :?: This is something I wouldn't even touch with a ten-foot pole :!: Well... AVG is an example!... it's useless, and it doesn't like IncrediMail, but, as I told you, everyone is free :!:
